MICROSOFT has released more backwards compatible games this week on Xbox One, as Call of Duty Black Ops 2 rumours increases from Xbox Spring Sale tease.CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS 2 IS NOW BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE!Major Nelson has just confirmed the news online and on Twitter and understandably the Call of Duty Fanbase is going nuts with appreciation after months of requesting.If you want a quick summary of the game here it is:Call of Duty: Black Ops II propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.If you want to buy the game you can purchase the game online for £19.99 or £15.99 for Gold Subscribers direct from Microsoft's store.However, as with all Backwards Compatible games, if you already own the Xbox 360 disc you can pop it into your Xbox One and start playing.Microsoft added another TWO classic Xbox 360 titles to the ever expanding Xbox One backwards compatibility library this week.As per usual, community manager Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb delivered the news of the new games arrivals on Twitter.In 2016 games like Red Dead Redemption, the Bioshock trilogy, the Mass Effect trilogy, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion were added.And joining the list this week were the following games:Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.Recently Xbox head Phil Spencer had mentioned that one of his "most anticipated" games was coming in the next few weeks, but we suspect that neither of these two titles was what he was referring to.Unfortunately, it doesn't sound as though one of the "good ones tee'd up" for Backwards Compatibility in the next few weeks will be Call of Duty Black Opt 2.That's despite several rumours suggesting it could be revealed before April 11, given that it was the only Xbox 360 game (among several games) included in the trailer for the Xbox spring sale that wasn't currently backwards compatible.There's also been no further Backwards Compatibility news from either Activision or any of the major Xbox heads on the state of Call of Duty Black Ops 2. PlayStation 4 has them, and Microsoft would be caught dead letting Sony have something so important Remember when Call of Duty games based in WW2 was the norm, and not a gimmick? As many might know, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is currently the most requested title for Xbox One's Backwards Compatibility library, with over 210,000 votes in it's favour. Still, there appears to be more demand for titles in the franchise to be added, with five of the six most requested games for backwards compatibility support on the Xbox Feedback website belonging to the “COD” franchise. This will be the second Call of Duty title to be added to the list, with Black Ops having been made backwards compatible in May. Now boasting over 230 titles, Microsofts’s backwards compatibility program for Xbox One has just received another popular title Infinity Ward’s 2005 military shooter Call of Duty 2.
